Rita has taken inspiration from her aviatrix grandmother to explore the world through travel, cooking, and fiction writing and journalism with bylines at Al Jazeera, CNN, Tor.com and others. Rita draws from her wide-reaching adventures and experiences as a thespian, director, musician, and missionary to write engaging, emotionally evocative fiction in multiple genres, including fantasy, contemporary romance, historical biographical fiction, and rock ‘n roll fiction.
Rita writes novels in several genres, including contemporary rock ‘n roll (under the pseudonym Juanita Millhouse), Christian romance, historical fiction, and the occasional fantasy piece. She’s also got some cookbooks to her name.
